Editorial and celebrity stylist Lucie Doughty struggled to find the perfect kit to keep her bobby pins, hair clips and bands neatly organized and in one place while on set and traveling from location to location. She figured if she was struggling than other stylists must be struggling too. Inspired to craft the ultimate “go-to” kit for professional stylists, Lucie and her partner Lisa Botts spent 6 months researching and designing the kits with the highest professional quality bobbypins, hairpins, clips and bands.
Stylists world wide use Straight Pin Studio kits, pins and padding at their stations, on set and for travel. Each kit is crafted with you in mind.
They didn’t stop there. It was essential to Lucie and Lisa to help others in the process. They partnered with Hillside Enterprises, a division of Advocacy and Respect and Choice-Long Beach (Ar&C) to build the kits. AR&C is a private, non-profit organization that has been providing services for adults with intellectual abilities since 1951.
At least 400 adults and their families receive daily support services such as, training in the activities of daily living, vocational training, employment development, and job retention. Every kit you purchase helps to promote competence and self-sufficiency.
